Murals and street art in Solo

In Java, there is a city named Surakarta, which no-one in the entire country calls Surakarta. Even the train timetables and tickets call the city Solo. Solo is a nice town not far from Yogyakarta. If you are there, and if you have already seen both Borobudur and Prambanan, and also enjoyed what Yogja can offer, and if you still have some time, it is well worth visiting Solo on a day trip, but I imagine most people would find a day or two also enjoyable there. You can take a train from Yogyakarta to Solo, it is very convenient, because both train stations are in the city centre. There are many trains daily, so it is really easy to get there and back.

In this post, I will only show you some of the murals that you can see in the centre of Solo. You just have to walk around the city centre and you will be able to see most of them.
